motion.design.story

I'm a motion graphics designer currently living in Brisbane, Australia. With five years experience in design and production, I'm ready to take on anything that will get thrown my way, whether remotely or on site. I thrive as part of a team and I've spearheaded many projects as the sole designer, aided by my multi-disciplinary knowledge: I have a Bachelors of Music (Sound Production) and I'm also an experienced photographer / cinematographer, specialising in Video DSLR production. Clients have included ABC TV, Zapruder's Other Films, Cordell Jigsaw Productions, Chaser Productions, The University of Melbourne, Fairfax Media, Reckitt Benckiser, OurSay Australia and Channel Nine Australia.

I started out in Cairns, moving to Brisbane for University where I studied a Bachelor of Music, freelancing as a motion graphics designer during these years. In June of 2009, I was chosen as one of the Hungry Beasts, as part of Andrew Denton's "Project Next". This led to me moving to Sydney, and to two seasons of a graphics-intensive, topical, weekly half-hour TV show. I was one of the motion graphic designers creating 6-10 minutes of graphics for Hungry Beast each week. Although the show ended in April 2010, it's shaped the direction I've taken in my career. I'll never forget the experience and it continues to be my main calling card.

My software specialties include the entire Adobe Creative Suite (esp After Effects), Cinema 4D, Final Cut Studio, Digidesign ProTools and Apple Logic. I have a working knowledge of Maya and 3DS Max.
